What’s it mean to be a Farm Wife?  Well, it can be defined in many ways with many roles and many responsibilities.  But if you had to define it in four words, I would say the “Heart of the Family”.  We feed (sometimes with the help of a local restaurant), we run errands, we keep the farm clothes laundered (often in a second washing machine), we worry, and we pray.

As a farm wife, I’ve been angry, sad, excited, and full of love for the land that we get to work.  My husband has taught and “made” me drive things I never would have dreamed of, has introduced me to special people in the agricultural world who have become friends, and he has grown my love for this life.  As a girl who grew up on the farm, I swore I would never marry a farmer. Thank goodness God has a sense of humor.

I love this life, I love this role, and I love that I get to be just a small part of it by his side.

Enough gabbing!  Let’s introduce you to our new Harvest Collection and on the perfect day as we celebrate four years without Jake.  May he continue to plant seeds for us, and we may we continue to water them as we are able.
